When you have little ones it feels like your are always cleaning or picking things up off the floor. Children are little explorers particularly at the crawling stage. The find interesting objects and experiment with them for a little while before moving on to the next one. It’s hard to keep their attention on one thing because they are at a stage in their life where they are trying to understand how things work. Curious minds.
This great for them, but it means a trail of chaos is left behind in their tracks.
I decided it was time for some organisation! I have been researching different cabins which I could turn into a playroom. Having a family day care business makes business extremely intertwined in your daily life and space if you do not have a dedicated room set up. A lot of educators convert their garages, unfortunately my husband is a mechanic so he needs our garage. The cabin was my idea of have a separate area for business so that my personal space and home could be somewhat… Mine and my families.
But building a cabin doesn’t Happen over night. It is going to take time, so my house is going to be an intertwined mess until then. Therefore I did what every mum does, I took to IKEA for some quick and cost effective solutions and picked up a storage shelf.
What love a out ikea is that construction is so easy! I did this within an hour all by myself. Total cost of $159. I don’t know why I didn’t buy it earlier…
